Careful recording police

This is was an interesting Reason blog post.  A military vetran was recording police arrest a young woman for a DUI in a very aggressive and violent way when they saw him and approched him claiming that he was interfering with the arrest.  They then said that the man with the camera then spit on them and assaulted them (the police.)  Other cameras on the scene prove this was false but the man still faces charges that could land him ten years in jail.  From my interaction with police, this is pretty normal and very unsurprising (especially when they interact with military men).  It just makes me wonder how many others have been convicted by the lying testimony of police because they were not lucky enough to have someone on the scene recording the incident.
